I would like to inform you that if you ever visit Komodo Island in Indonesia beware of the human eating, blood sipping creatures called komodo dragons.
Appearance
The komodo dragons have razor sharp, shark like teeth that can pierce through any kind of skin in one single bite! They have claws as sharp as a knife that can keep their prey pinned to the ground. These magnificent, but terrifying creatures rely on patience and camouflage while lying in wait for passing prey.
Eggs and size
Komodo dragons can lay up to 25 eggs at a time. They grow up to 3 metres long. They can weigh up to 70 kg.
Special Features
One of the keys to their killing ability is the infectious bacteria in their saliva which can kill all sorts of prey. Komodo dragons can run briefly at speeds of up to 20 km/ hr.
Habitat
The komodo dragon is only found on the Indonesian islands in the komodo area. The natural \
habitat of the komodo dragon is the open rocky shore and sandy inland areas. The number of
komodo dragons is 3,000 to 5,000.
