In term two, my school had a science fair. I worked on my own and my question was `What is the best way to keep a cut flower fresh for longer?' After a lot of research, waiting and checking on the flowers, I found out that the best way to keep them fresh is to use Sprite with water. I loved the science fair because I learnt heaps and I can't wait till next year! 

I am in the Ngongotaha house group at school. The color of our house group is purple. This is my first year being in a house group because I only started intermediate this year. During the year we have house group competitions like battle of the houses. I love these events because it's really fun coming to school in your house colors and cheering on your house group. Go Ngongotaha!

In term one ex All Black Norm Hewitt came to our school to talk about caring for your pets with the SPCA. He gave an amazing speech about his life and how to care for animals you love. His speech really made everyone think hard about loving your pets. He was hilarious! He would make up the most funniest jokes on the spot and his favorite word was "AWESOME!"  His speech was AWESOME!  I think it was the best speech I have ever heard.

The clear blue water sways from side to side with the wind

as I we drive down the road to camp.

I breath in the sweet sizzling stir fry that is being tossed

In the pot

I listen to the loud screeching sound of kids screaming ahead of me as I grasp the rope tighter that’s leading me

Through the Burma trail.

The cold crisp water wraps around my body as I jump into the lake.

The boiling, mouth hot milo tickles my taste buds

As I gulp down the delightful drink.

I think camp was great and it was the best one yet.
